FreeWork is a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit dedicated to matching young creatives with tools for content creation.
Our first project – PickUptheMic – formally kicked off Summer of 2021.
The PUTM Project is simple in both intent and scope: we build Podcast & YouTube Studio Rooms for afterschool programs in the Pittsburgh area.
That’s it.
Pittsburgh’s legacy in broadcasting is secure.
But the benefits of our recent cultural and technological renaissance need not be so unevenly distributed.
